Blue Cross: People, Not Patients
Real Idahoans, shown like people instead of patients. The client liked the results enough to extend the licensing. A stills campaign that ran four years.
creative direction · talent direction Make a health brand feel like the people it serves.
Blue Cross needed to develop a campaign that authentically represented their most valued asset, their customers. They wanted the brand to look like the people it covers, in a human way that kept its promise of serving real people. The challenge was to create visuals that would land emotionally, capturing everyday moments in a variety of settings.
It landed. The campaign launched in 2020 and ran through 2024, with the licensing extended because it kept working, four years of a brand still showing up as the people it serves.

In partnership with OMEK agency, I did creative direction on the campaign: image selection, casting, and a hand on the edits, and I directed the talent on set. Over about a week the team captured authentic moments across a variety of locations, local shops, homes, and outdoor areas, so the personal connection Blue Cross has with its customers came through in every frame.
